I started experimenting with beeswax many years ago, when my Mum was gifted a block from a local beekeeper. After a time of getting to know the craft, making candles became a kind of meditation I welcomed into my days. I light candles, turn up the music and melt and pour. The sweet smell of beeswax permeate my entire home and it just brings me so much joy.

I began taking candles along to the births I was attending and the postpartum ceremonies I was holding. Each candle lit became a companion in itself, holding and warming spaces in the simplest of ways.

That’s when HoneyWomb + Wick was born.

For the optimal burn:

• Trim the wick to 5-6 mm before each burn.

• Burn candles in a still, draft free environment.

• Burn larger candles for 3 hours on first burn to allow the melt pool to reach the edges.

• Use a heat-safe vessel under each candle to catch the dripping wax.
