Crystal…
The search for the ‘right’ person to walk beside us and witness us become parents had begun. I’d poured over social media looking for someone with an ethos I aligned with.
A wise woman. No ego. Someone with presence.
I would text, email and speak to several potential birth companions as I navigated. Many spoke, told me what their style was. What they would and wouldn’t do. What they had done. And some didn’t respond at all.
When I met Liz in person for the very first time, she listened. Communication flowed effortlessly. She was warm. Calm. Caring. Mothering even. There was no pressure, just trust. I knew she trusted birth. And she would remind me to do the same if & when I needed it. We had our doula!
We spent the next couple of months sharing, learning, getting familiar. Getting clear. Preparing. So many resources were thoughtfully provided.
Words cannot articulate the beauty, power and reverence of what unfolded. It was simply extraordinary natural. No fuss. Just birth. Just LIFE emerging. Held. Provided for. Nurtured & nourished.
Liz provided in ways I didn’t know I needed, until I was sat snug on my couch, babe on breast, snack in hand, aromas floating through from the kitchen, as we spoke as old friends do.. debriefing the surreal and sacred transcendence that had happened days earlier in the very room we were sitting!
Food became my love language. And Liz continued to nourish my body, mind & my soul.
Sisterhood had formed.
The images of our newborn son are sacred. The tender, raw moments that Liz captured still bring tears of gratitude. And me, a newly born Mother. Honoured and cared for. What a gift.
My deepest love, respect and appreciation to this woman who has remembered what it means to hold sacred space, and what it takes to walk with another woman through it.

To have someone hold space for you, who is totally there for you. Someone to spend quality time with you, to delve deep into conversations of all your hopes and fears. To have someone listen, truly listen.
To be a good listener is a real skill. To have someone comfortable in the silence whilst you are trying to find the vulnerable words, without offering advice unless invited to. To not
pre-empt what you are trying to say or to not finish off your sentence.
The biggest thing that stood out for me was Liz’s ability to listen, to truly listen to me.
So often I share thoughts through conversation with family, friends and birth professionals but come away still not sure if they had really ‘heard me’.
This ability of Liz’s was apparent in the first phone call and every meeting after.
The experience of my Freebirth with Liz showed me that she had ‘heard me’ through our conversations beforehand. Her support during my birth was perfect.
Her calm confidence brought such a beautiful energy to the room and having her take care of everything meant my husband did not need to leave my side.
The Food!!! I felt so nourished through Liz’s food, before, during and after birth. This was my third birth, and I did not have a doula for the first two. I could feel how my body healed and thrived so much quicker with this birth and I know it is because I was giving it what it needed through Liz’s food.
To have someone pour so much love and thought into every meal and snack is so special.
The visits after the birth I found so beneficial for the emotional support, to be able to discuss in length the beautiful labour and the emotional highs.
Liz was like having my soul sister with me, everything I could have hoped for and more.
Liz has most definitely found her calling in this life and you can feel her beautiful energy from the moment you meet her.

I was so thankful to have Liz with me for my first Freebirth. It was so comforting to have another like minded woman beside me as I welcomed my baby into the world.
I found it so helpful and reassuring to have another set of eyes and hands to help me. She is calming and kind and extremely knowledgeable. Her gentle reminders and prompts about how I wished my birth to unfold were greatly appreciated and helped bring my vision to life.
Liz's care for me, especially within the first hours after birth was so beautiful and attentive. I also felt very blessed with all the Postpartum care she provided.
On one of her visits after our birth, she made placenta prints, and dehydrated our cord into a beautiful keepsake. I was also able to make my own placenta encapsulation with her guidance.
It was wonderful to have another woman to talk to who was just as excited as I was about my upcoming birth. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Words can not convey my appreciation and gratitude for having her join me on this journey.

You held space with integrity, love and compassion in mind.
There when I needed you, just far enough when I didn't.
Followed my lead and went where I needed to be.
Reassured when uncertainty arose and grounded when I started to float.
Fed and nourished me like the queen I am and helped guide me on the
path that was designed for me.
I give thanks for walking with me, for being there with me.
In a way you're now a part of me.
Forever and always a sister to me.
Love always.

From the moment we met Liz, we felt like we’d always known her.
Her presence was familiar, calm and kind. We knew she was the right person for us to share this incredibly special process with.
Liz helped us feel well-informed and as prepared as we could possibly be in the lead up to our first baby’s arrival. When it came to the birth, our labour was tougher than expected, but Liz was there beside us, supporting us both in every possible and imaginable way throughout the entire labour.
My husband felt safe, nurtured, supported, grateful and fortunate to have Liz beside us for the labour and birth.
I felt like I had a best friend beside me who believed in me more than I believed in myself.
After the birth, Liz was absolutely incredible as a guide for us during those first few life-changing weeks. Her visits were always game-changing for us - from nourishing us with wholesome food, sharing her knowledge and wisdom, plus practical tips and tricks, to even giving us the gift of a decent nap while she cuddled our baby.
Liz has been such an integral part of our journey to becoming parents, we never actually wanted to ever say goodbye to her! We are still in regular contact and hope to remain friends with her for life.
We cannot find the words to accurately describe just how wonderful this woman is. She has truly found her calling as a Birth Companion & Postpartum Doula.

Beautiful Liz was such an important piece to the puzzle of my birth!
This was my first baby and before knowing what being a doula meant, I thought that having one wouldn't be necessary. I was wrong.
She helped me in so many ways but for me most importantly the way she helped me during birth was really amazing and priceless.
She was the mother figure I needed during the whole process.
She's so kind and loving but she tells you straight how it is and I absolutely love that. A birthing woman NEEDS that.
I will continuously recommend her to everyone.

Words do not do justice what Liz did for me during my pregnancy and the birth of my 2nd baby, so I find it hard to in words explain her presence, you’ll feel it when you meet her.
Liz & I were drawn to each other because she was supposed to be at the birth of my baby Willow Luna, she was an integral part of the completely unassisted, unmedicated & uninterrupted calm water birth I had.
Liz helped me during my pregnancy to unpack trauma that I had been carrying not only from my 1st birth that I was unconsciously holding onto but also how that trauma had been a part of my life for almost all of my life. Without her guidance & support I wouldn’t have found in me what I found in order to have such a profound & healing birth experience. This is something I will never forgot.
Having Liz as your birth companion will be the greatest decision you make for your birth. She was there but not there, she never over stepped yet knew exactly when to step in. She held space and kept me calm, she knew what I needed by looking at me and gently guided my partner & midwife in the direction she knew was right and that I wanted if she needed to.
Thank you Liz.

At 41 years old I was considered high risk by the system despite having a textbook pregnancy. I was under pressure to be induced early. So I sought Liz's guidance and support to have the intervention free labour and birth that I knew my baby and I were meant to have.
Being a second time mum I knew what I wanted to change and improve upon from my first labour. Liz intuitively knew what to say and gave me the questions to ask myself with just the right amount of subtlety for me to find the answers for myself.
With her reframing of my first experience I felt prepared to face and welcome what may come again. During my relatively quick labour Liz offered the right words and support at the right time without imposing on where I was within my experience.
Just days after birth my little boy and I went back to hospital to treat the jaundice he had developed and Liz checked up on us regularly and offered priceless support.
You don't need to be struggling to benefit from her warm and nurturing presence, and I only wish I had sought out this beautiful doula for my first pregnancy also.

Having Liz as our Doula was an amazing experience and one I couldn't recommend more highly. As a partner it was extremely comforting for me to have Liz there. Even though this was our third child, no two births are the same, and there are always points where things can take unexpected turns. My wife was "in the zone", so having Liz who was fully across the birth plan was so reassuring.
Liz arrived at the hospital within minutes of letting her know we were in labour. There was some initial road blocks with hospital staff, and while my wife was having contractions, she was not always able to clearly convey her decisions to the staff. Liz was able to ensure everything was on track even when we were thrown those obstacles.
During the birth itself, Liz was always alert to the process and a massive comfort factor for both Lauren and I, whilst still being scarce and remaining "in the background". There was one moment in particular which I think helped us tremendously, when things where getting a bit tense and a decision could easily have been made in haste, but Liz simply reminded Lauren of her initial birth plan and helped us make a calm and informed decision, which we are extremely grateful for.
I would absolutely recommend Liz to anyone who is on their birth journey, whether it's your first or fifth.

My experience with Liz has been absolutely beautiful.
Firstly, I was apart of her Guiding Mumma Circle, where she helped me emotionally prepare for my third baby’s arrival.
The night my daughter was born Liz attended as our Doula and she played such an integral part of our experience. She was my fierce advocate - guiding me to make my own empowered decisions and supporting myself and my husband, every step of the way.
She is a strong protector of empowered birth and when I was faced with decisions I felt the confidence to ask the right question to get the best outcome for me and my baby - with Liz by my side.
Liz continued to provide postpartum support, checking up on my well being and giving me the chance to express my new feelings as a mother of three! She genuinely gave me the heartfelt care I needed during this pivotal time in my life.
Renee…
You have shared in one of the most sacred experiences I'll have this lifetime. The birth of our son was beyond what I could've ever imagined. You were there every step of the way and still are weeks after. Thank you my cherished friend for your support, generosity, care and love.
Having you by my side made me feel safe and helped me focus on the birth. I knew that you had my wishes in sight and that you’d speak my truth if I was unable. In an experience where I was completely raw and vulnerable you allowed me to feel safe, honoured and capable and I am forever grateful for this.
Jay…
Having you with us during our birth brought out the best in Renee. You helped keep the room calm and relaxed. You were there for all the little things and offered strength and support AND still somehow managed to capture all the amazing moments for us to keep forever.
Lisa…
Having Liz as my Doula for the birth of my baby girl was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As a first time mum to be, I had no idea what to expect and I was definitely naïve in knowing what happens, what I really wanted, how I should be treated and how I needed to prepare mentally for such a life changing event.
Liz got me ready. Her willingness to care, coach, inform, empower, inspire, support and encourage throughout the whole birth journey (pregnancy, birth, postpartum) is something that will never leave me. I can’t imagine not having her there if there is baby #2.
I truly believe that without Liz, my perspective of my birth would have been completely different, but she showed me the beauty in all of it, accepting every last detail and I can’t thank her enough.
Paula…
Liz and I have been friends since we were in primary school. We have the type of lifelong friendship that doesn’t change even if you don’t see each other for a long time.
When she began her journey as a doula I was excited to have her support us through our second pregnancy.
Due to the position of my first son we ended up having a c section after a very long labour. This time around we desperately wanted to try for a VBAC. Liz was amazing at helping us be as informed as possible by arming us with lots of research as well as questions to ask along the way.
When we were in labour, Liz was a gentle and wonderful guide, intervening quietly when necessary to get us where we needed to be.
Both my partner and I feel that Liz’s support was integral in helping us to achieve the amazing and healing birth of our son Ziggy.
The experience was truly life changing and I am so happy Liz was there to experience it with us.
